Family, Friends and Food
Seems that travel brings with it, lots of get togethers over good food! I always manage to accept invitations for more.
Our trip to Melbourne was no different. Most days Queeny and I headed off to meet with friends for lunch at many varied locations. Get togethers with other guide dog teams, or our sighted friends. Restaurant, or at home dining, there were many occasions. Queeny takes it in her stride. Most often sleeping at my side, but always alert for any offering. It is amazing how often restaurant staff offer her a bowl of water on arrival. She has always been readily accepted.
I did miss her on my overnight tandem ride to Warburton. It was not the same using my cane again!! We have only been apart two nights since graduating in February 2009.
